Anyone who's tried to figure this out on their own, spent hours researching, and ended up more confused than when they started.

What happens during a consultation?

We start with a free call where I learn about your situation and what's prompting you to make changes. During the actual consultation, I go through your space (virtually or in-person), assess what products and materials you're using, and flag areas of concern. You get a detailed written report with specific product recommendations and action steps in order of priority.

How do virtual consultations work?

Accepted Answer

For virtual clients, I send a detailed questionnaire beforehand to gather information about your space, products, and concerns. You'll also send photos of your products. Then we meet on video to go through everything together and I guide you just like I would in person.

How is this different from just researching products myself?

The problem is that 'non-toxic' isn't regulated. Greenwashing is everywhere. Companies use terms like 'natural' and 'clean' without accountability. I've spent years figuring out which certifications are meaningful and which brands have integrity. I also spent years as a consumer protection attorney, working on cases against DuPont and baby bottle manufacturers for hiding harmful chemicals. You're not paying me to Google for you. You're paying for expertise, thorough vetting, and peace of mind.

Do you sell products or get paid to recommend certain brands?

No. Zero brand affiliations, no sponsorships, no affiliate relationships. When I recommend something, it's because I've done my homework and genuinely think it's a good option. Not because someone's paying me to say so.

What does it cost to work with you?

Accepted Answer

My hourly rate is $225. Most clients choose one of my packages: Single Room Un-tox (one priority space like a nursery, kitchen, or bedroom), Multi-Room Package (several rooms at once with 15% discount), or Whole Home Package (full assessment of your entire living space with 15% discount). The free consultation helps us figure out which option fits your situation and budget.

Do you work with people outside Santa Barbara?

What if I've already bought things you might recommend replacing?

Accepted Answer

Super common. I'm never going to tell you to throw everything out tomorrow. Part of what I do is help you prioritize. Some swaps are more urgent (certain cookware, baby products), while others can wait until things wear out naturally.

I'm renting. Can you still help me?

Definitely. You may not be able to change a lot about the home, but there's so much still in your control: cleaning products, cookware, bedding, personal care products, air quality, storage containers. I focus on what you can actually change.

Yes, and this is an area I'm really passionate about. Reducing toxic exposures during this window can make a real difference, and it's often something fertility doctors don't mention. I offer a curated baby registry so you can feel confident without researching every single item yourself.

I can't make medical claims or promise specific outcomes. What I can tell you is that I've been there. I spent nearly a decade with debilitating chronic illness before being diagnosed with Lyme disease, mold toxicity, a pain syndrome, and environmental sensitivities. Reducing toxic exposures in my home was a key part of my recovery. It's why I started Natural Haven.

Yes. I offer healthy building consultation for new construction and remodels. This includes guidance on non-toxic building materials (flooring, finishes, paints, insulation), EMF mitigation, water filtration, healthy lighting, and post-construction choices like furniture and furnishings.
